Wellington Airport motorcycle parking
PDF showing locations of motorcycle parking at Wellington Airport.
Currently Wellington Airports website doesn’t show this information, however I have been advised that it will be included with a review of the site sometime soon.
My understanding is that you can exit without paying – any comments from those who have parked at the airport?
July 2010 #27 out now!
My apologies for the delay in getting the July issue completed. The sudden closure of my print shop left me working quickly, at very short notice, to get the design finished and printing complete. The August 2010 issue will see improved consistency of design, in the meantime feel free to make suggestions for future content to jess@scootnz.co.nz.
The cover price has also risen to reflect the change, and I do not expect any more price rises for Scoot NZ when GST increases in October.

Motorcycle WOF manual
An issue has come up recently for people trying to get WOF’s – VTNZ insisting that the front brake must operate a rear brake light (as well as the rear brake operating the brake light).
Check section 4-10-2 to see the relevant section:
Mandatory and permitted equipment
1. A motorcycle first registered in New Zealand before 1 January 1978 may be fitted with one or two stop lamps.
2. A motorcycle first registered in New Zealand on or after 1 January 1978 must be fitted with one or two stop lamps.
This would seem to mean that you can just have one brake light, i.e. operated by one brake.
