L.A.S.T. South Island Scooter tour – Part 2

5 January 2011 – Invercargill to Owaka

After being incredibly well looked after by Southern Scoot, and following Thornton’s interview on Radio Live, we headed towards the Catlins.  Visited a lighthouse, petrified forest, waterfalls, saw a hoiho.  Today was characterised by dust and gravel after over 70km of it.  So much grime on the scoots, just further evidence of the adventure.

Fixits:  weld securing pin back onto side pod (GS)  Thanks to K & D Automotive in Invercargill – the only repair we couldn’t fix ourselves, and it was free! Sheared splines on kick start lever (GS)
